One last stop...
We are on a 600 mile run south to Florida. Prior to getting there we had to make a stop here in Brunswick, Georgia. There are a couple of reasons! Our travels north had brought us this way. During that trip we found a barbeque restaurant out on St Simons Island that I just couldn't stop thinking about. And, knowing that we would be driving right by it just didn't seem right!

Day Seven - Georgia On My Mind

On the road again
Ahh...What a bummer we have to leave today. Its been such a great week.
Headed home, but made a quick pit stop. Stopped by St Simons Island. Ate at Zhu Zhus...it's become a tradition to eat there. Keith has to have his egg salad sandwich and bottled coke.
After lunch we walked to the pier. Just want to take one last look at the beach. Weather is super hot ...
Beaches
... in the ocean pool we had been playing in all week. Needless to say, we decided to play in the sand after that. Kaylee built sandcastles with Britt & Cam. Mom and dad just enjoyed soaking up the sun.

We came back, had a quick lunch accompanied by a nice afternoon nap, then headed to the convention center. Last year my dad and my photographs were published in the Jekyll Island coffee table book. This year, I got word that one of my photographs was chosen to be hung in the convention center. So ...
