We arrived here in Perham yesterday ( 08/29/09 ) and had planned on taking a couple days 'off' to catch up on housework,etc. After checking in I picked up a couple of local tourist guides and discovered that the Finn Creek Festival was taking place this weekend. We are leaving Minnesota heading for Las Cruces NM for about a month. We have put the motor home in storage in Minneapolis so it will be here when we get back for the birth of our new grandson in October. I drove the Yukon, and followed Pete on his "new toy" - A Goldwing Trike. All went well for both of us!

... on at least one day of riding. of course, getting in the van didn't prove to be so simple either. we have bike racks mounted on the top of the van, but for the most part, they haven't been used, so i ended up getting to troubleshoot them myself as, one by one, i found small problems with each. ultimately, i had to figure out how to do a quick repair on one of them before being able to strap my bike in. and of course, the wind hadn't died down, and it almost blew my bike ...

Hi again :) it honestly doesn't seem like an entire year has passed since I started my last adventure. But here I am, a mere half an hour before I head to the airport. I would love to go into the detail of the hurry and scurry of my last minute packing and wisdom teeth annoyances (my cheek puffed up again :( lovely and fun) but I'm too excited and tired to do so at the current moment...I promise to give a full report upon my arrival.
