A Business Stop in Horicon, WI for a recycled crates company We were up at 6:30. Breakfast at Cracker Berrel ( no surprise there). Heading northwest to Wisconsin. We stopped at Kreilkamp Trucking, Inc. at 10 AM to meet with Dave (Smedly) Mullin and get a plant tour. They are also big time into refurbishing crates for John ...

... way towards Rapid City. We drove for a few hours and then decided to stop for fuel and some lunch at Paul Bunyans Cook Shanty at Wisconsin Dells.

After lunch we walked through the town, which was sort of like the Gold Coast as it had a Ripleys plus lots of gift shops.

We left there about 1.30 and drove through to Albert Lea and checked in to our hotel and went to the bar for a couple of drinks. We ordered a light dinner and then all headed off to bed ...

Left Wisconsin this morning around 9ish. Was sad leaving there - it's a great state and the place we stayed was top notch. We got a fairly early start because we weren't too sure what the weather was going to be like. All the surrounding states are having flooding and tornado watches and we weren't quite sure what to expect. We crossed over the Mississippi River heading west in the town of Winona, MN. ...

... a route with a marker so they can physically see each city we have stopped in and where we are going next. Both have been a great way for the kids to follow along where we are in the states. Each time we put a new state magnet on, we count the number of states we've visited and Minnesota makes number 26! To look at the map and see where we have been just seems so crazy! Obviously we knew how large the ...

        ... stop in Minnesota.

The surprise of the day was Taco King in Albert Lea. Christina and Raul Campos own this authentic restaurant in downtown Albert Lea with made to order burritos and tacos.

We are feeling wide awake and driving through the night to have more time in the Badlands tomorrow.
