So the bearings on the axle blew again. Had the camper towed and will look at it in the morning. So far it looks like everything was caught in time and all is good but the bearings. We left Chicago early Saturday morning (9/13). Jeff and Mark made us a nice breakfast, helped us load the car and we were off. First tourist stop was the Spam Museum in Austin, MN. I did not realize Spam does not contain any snout or hoof...just premium pork shoulder. People were walking out with cases of this stuff. ...

... and saw some huge carp in the river we biked over. There was a controlled fire along the way from which you could see the smoke for miles. The city was burning all their brush and the fire department was there watching it. It was quite a large fire and the kids were a little concerned even with the fire trucks close by.
