      ... And it is totally true. A lot is so familiar but different at the same time. It was truly a wonderful, educational, eye-opening experience. If you're ever able to travel overseas (especially for an extended period) please do, it's so worth it. There are so many Westerners in Sihanoukville that Christmas and New Years were a bigger deal than we expected.       ... Not only do we hang around the only low crowded beach but we go to the Village, where many bars, souvenir and other common stores are located. There you can go shopping for some memories and gifts for friends at home and afterwards have a drink or two. When we go shopping, we go to all the stores not existing in Germany, these are TJ Maxx (yes there's the german TK Maxx but it's nothing like TJ!), Ross and Marshall's for cheap but cool clothes, bags and decorations stuff. ...

      ... it is presented in gift-form later this month... But we managed to actually put my camera to use for a few other fun shots, including several of a Great Blue Heron that landed just before sunset and started picking morsels out of the tidepools. What a majestic creature and utterly calm feel at that golden moment. Maybe it's because I kept my expectations low, but this trip has really been a picturesque, relaxing vacation so far.

      Casperson Beach is a bit different from many of the others we have seen thus far.

      It is recognized as one of the
      most enjoyable shelling beaches in the area and an excellent spot to find
