It was a pretty uneventful day; traveling through Ohio and Indiana isn’t too exciting. We stopped in Effingham, IL, which is about 100 miles east of St. Louis. We were able to get a “buddy site” at this campground and had a great dinner; BLTs and corn on the cob.

... makes any sense. I felt a sense of triumph as we walked home, as though I reclaimed a bit of my identity back that morning. We’re still figuring out how to balance who we are with our lives on the show and today was an important step in doing so.

Fridman finished the door about 30 minutes after we got back and I’ll tell you what: I don’t think our door has EVER worked correctly. It opens and closes so quietly and gently now ...

On the Road Again

... on the road and ready to roll.

Once I got past Kansas City the scenery got a bit more interesting. It was a little bit hilly and there were tall trees that were showing the blush of autumn which was very scenic and a welcome change. The trees and also provided some wind block which was nice too. I got settled in and the miles melted ...
