A beautiful day for flying! Nice and cool, bright blue skies and smooth conditions. Our thanks to Allen and Laura for a fun stay (we'd missed Laura’s company though, but understand sometimes you have to work!).

We were heading east and planned a fuel stop at Colorado Plains Regional, just outside the town of Akron, CO, just half an hour away. On the ground again at 0815hrs, and upon checking ...

Actually, from here on out would be just a mission to drive home and not make a whole lot of stops for two main reasons: there really ...

... were close enough to touch the tent to rustle into them. 2am brain? OH MAN IT'S A BEAR!!! So I sat as quietly as I possibly could and decided to play dead. But they had tasted human blood! They must want more! But we somehow managed to survive the night.

Today we have once again booked it through Kansas, leaving bear country behind us. Unfortunately we have found the land of smells. I think I might prefer bears. BUT we got to ...
