    ... had set up huge speakers so that when the runners reached the race track, we heard the sounds of an announcer from a past Derby! Super cool!

    Once I finished the race (and yes, it poured rain the entire time), we went for lunch. All in all, a great weekend and a fun race. I'm such a lucky girl to have my coach (Richard) with me for my 8th half marathon. I still can't believe that he's never missed one of my races (7 Marathons and 8 Halfs).

    ... Next stop was the Jim Beam Stillhouse. The whole areas smells like bourbon even before you drive on the property. We did a self guided tour and then we got some samples through an automated dispensing machine. You get a credit card that has 2 tastes each and then the machine dispenses the bourbon. All self-serve. They should do this in wineries too!
