    We left Sydney on what was ironically a glorious day and headed through Brighton le sands to pick up the Campervan, not knowing what to expect. The motor was a lean, mean travelling machine and drove as well as a 15 year old Toyota which had been driven 675,000 km - we named her Lou (after the Neighbours' pub landlord). Now under immense pressure, knowing that one scratch would right off his ($3000) deposit and the rest of his trip, Dave showed no sign of weakness ...

    ... save our boy. She found Nick covered in dirt and flies, totally unresponsive. The day was terribly hot and windy and Libby wiped Nick's face with a damp clothe, used a Satellite phone to contact the nearest town of Boulia, some 150klm away to begin a response from Police and Ambulance.

    ... the children in the choir had been rescued by the charities as they had no parents due to death or being abandoned, The choir were actually amazing - great dancing and African tribal music and outfits BUT the experience overall was really random. All the locals were dancing and singing along to songs about Jesus - I had to get on my feet and get involved. It was pretty comical. I;m glad theres no video evidence hahaha.     ... itself at a park where the ferry comes in. The ferry comes directly from Newcastles CBD over to Stockton which interestingly enough was the original CBD for the region back in the early days of settlement. Topped off a wonderful day.

    Jules and I are off to Brisbane this saturday for the rugby test between NZ and Australia, ( Go the All Blacks ). Then 1 more week in Swansea before we hit the road and head south towards Victoria.
