    ... here by car, or ferry. Beaches are mixed, not all are that great. Lots of cheap places to stay, that attracts a lot of backpackers. Feels a bit like staying in a small city. Very spread out, not really a island feel to it. Best place to stay.. Lazy Day Bungalows -mid range *17. Ko Muk- known for its emerald cave and secret beach( worth going to unless you're afraid of the dark and small spaces! ) Pretty beaches, mixed accommodation, something for everyone. Not a lot to do ...

    ... and walked around all the different viewpoints. There were beautiful views of San Diego Bay, Coronado Island and the Downtown area. The historic lighthouse is such a cute little building and you could go inside where they had rooms set up like a little dollhouse of how it would have been back in the day. It was completed in 1855, closed in 1891 and replaced with the new Point Loma lighthouse, set on the hills below.

    ... We were trying to find a mom and pop cafe for breakfast but we did not find one. Finally gave up for Jack n the box. We were heading up I-15, known as the avocado highway, in search of avocados. I had read that San Diego county grows 30 percent of California avocados . Since I had not seen them I wanted to.     ... with a pool and slide and two cute dogs. The kids (and me..) got our dog fix as we have been missing Winston terribly! We had a wonderful home cooked meal!     Oh and there was funnel cake. This is a dish made by drizzling doughnut mixture into the oil in a pie shape. The crunchy cooked dough is lifted out is then icing sugared and topped with strawberries, cream and ice-cream. For completeness we had one. Yum.
