... and walked around all the different viewpoints. There were beautiful views of San Diego Bay, Coronado Island and the Downtown area. The historic lighthouse is such a cute little building and you could go inside where they had rooms set up like a little dollhouse of how it would have been back in the day. It was completed in 1855, closed in 1891 and replaced with the new Point Loma lighthouse, set on the hills below.

Oh and there was funnel cake. This is a dish made by drizzling doughnut mixture into the oil in a pie shape. The crunchy cooked dough is lifted out is then icing sugared and topped with strawberries, cream and ice-cream. For completeness we had one. Yum.
