      Also there were many Chinese people with papers and signs. Not quite sure what to call them. They had signs about Chinese leaving the communist party and the killing of people to harvest their organs. I suppose it was an informational protest.


      Beside the Star of India, a three masted schooner was Anthony's Pier One. I had read recommendations for this so we paid the meter and had the best meal so far. ...

      ... I mentioned she's a rock star? She led us in to the beach where we were greeted by friends, family, and many strangers. It was an honest to god blur and mixture of all emotions. We were ironically stopped at a stoplight and could see everyone - the moment had finally come and it was sooo sweet, but had to wait just a bit longer than we wanted.       ... with a pool and slide and two cute dogs. The kids (and me..) got our dog fix as we have been missing Winston terribly! We had a wonderful home cooked meal!       ... to the hotel. on the way to the midway we also explored park of the gaslamp quarter of san diego. originally lit by gas lamps, they are now lit by electric lamps made to look like gas lamps.

      the afternoon was spent by the hotel pool and mucking about in it.

      we celebrated our last dinner here at the rock cafe. a fun evening.

      last minute packing in the morning and we'll be heading up to san diego airport to drop the car.
