Sunday we went to the Calgary Ecclesia which meets in a community hall in Calgary's south. It's a small ecclesia, made even smaller by the people away on summer 'vacation'. Due to it's size of eleven people this morning, we were able to meet the whole ecclesia. We met Alex & Robyn Boiko - he's from Germany and she from California. They came with us out to lunch at Tony Roma's, 'famous for it's ribs and steak'. It certainly was a good ...

Krista our niece is a real important part of this and has also been scanning old black and white photos from albums of Allan and Dora Cook and their lives. Old war pictures. I was in line and I think it went 1730, but luckily I wasn't kicked out. ...

So the road trip started! This bit might seem short but really, if I was to write about all this in detail, it'd take me until the end of the world. But it was just breathe taking, the whole time! #beautifulbc doesn't exist for no reason. I kept pinching myself! I live here. Just craziness! We drove Whistler to Van HWY 99 to Chilliwack on HWY1 to Kelowna via Osoyoss on HWY 3 the taking 97 to Kelowna. We stopped in Chilliwack for lunch with Taylor then headed through to see the spotted ...

    Pelicans in Saskatchewan??

... An interesting result of having salt lakes in southern Saskatchewan - they have shore birds! They have seagulls, pelicans, piping plovers, avocets, sandpipers, curlews, and many more. They feed on the only creature that can live in that salty water - brine shrimp. Actually, the pelicans prefer some lakes a little farther west that aren't as salty and have minnow-like fish swimming in them, but they occasionally go visit Chaplain ...
