    Right on the Parkway

If you're looking to stay in a clean hotel right on a main road, with good customer service and a complimentary morning meal, the Ramada on the Parkway is a great choice.

Not only will you have faster access to see all of Pigeon Forge's attractions, but you can enjoy a convenient breakfast just beyond the main lobby. Besides a buffet style of foods to choose from, you can also take a dip in the heated pool or sit in the hot tub.

... museum was better. We wanted to go to the Hillbilly Harley store but after getting our bikes out of the lot, driving through main street with all the stops from the traffic lights and pedestrians we arrived there to see they had no parking of their own and we'd have to pay again. We decided it wasn't worth it and went all the way back through Gatlinburg into the park to continue south on 441. We skipped several nice lookouts because we (I) wanted to go to Clingman's Dome which is ...

Lots of Pictures- Get a feel for the road. I took I 77 west to the tunnel which crossed into West Virginia and took SR-598 to Bluefield where you see the first great vista. 598 hits 19 s to Tazweil where Rt. 16 starts, "The Back of the Dragon". Wow what a ride. I followed 16 to Rt. 58 at the Log Cabin Store in the pictures. Rt. 58 was a surprise because I was expecting rolling curves and country riding ...

... out. It is a privately owned place and it houses around 90 classic cars. The clerk said that the owner of the place did own a few of the cars but most were on display from other private owners.

The name is somewhat of a misnomer as I soon found out. I asked the clerk about it and he said it was $11 to enter the museum and see the cars. He said I could take a look through the door before I decided. I peeked in and saw some of the cars and they were ...

... sopped up and I wrung out the wet towels and cleaned up the aftermath. Not a good start to the day, but it didn’t damage anything so I guess it could have been worse. I let some of the water out of the black tank and Cheryl put in additional cleaner. We did this a third time to allow the water and cleaner to bounce around while we were driving so it would get sanitized well.

We got on the road around 10:30 and headed west on I-40. The ...

Somehow as he was talking to me he mentioned riding and I asked what kind of horses he rode. Would you believe he said "saddlebreds"? I mentioned that we had just come from a show in Raleigh and he mistakenly thought it was the spring premier and he said his friend Annika had ...
