... many that visit the Grand Canyon. An awesome drive, unfortunately we were two weeks early to see full fall colours.
Dollywood was fantastic, didn't ride any of the amusement park rides as plenty to see and do with all the live theatre performances. Appears a different age group come here to Orlando's Universal Studios. Old and grey whom love country music.
So much for the early morning, we didnt get up and out of our beds until 10:30. I noticed adam wasnt here. He had went out to see if he could find out any information on the different hikes and where they are. Last night when he went to get a toothbrush from the shop he spoke to a woman who told us the hike we were plannin on doing was a 12 hour round trip. This should be a little less as she was a true 'murcan and had the weight to back it up. When he got back from checkin out the hikes ...
... hopefully it's clearer then. Another bear encounter here as well. Mama and yearling cub about 100 ft. away. Most yearlings are on their own by June so we had a clingy mom or a reluctant-to-leave child but they hung around for about 10 minutes. I have now visited all 48 lower states and have only Biscayne Nat. Park in Miami left to visit. Sooo ...

Next we saw the mellowing process where the distillate percolates through 14 feet of the maple charcoal before being put into oak barrels that are built and cooked by Jack Daniels before filling and being sent to warehouses for aging. The liquor goes into the barrels clear but as they heat and cool the liquid is pulled into the wood to develop the amber color and vanilla flavor. ...
... I may add! We were told we did very well for a team of two and I have to say we had lots of fun! It was great being in the Chrystal maze type environment and I would certainly recommend doing it, or something similar in the uk! Anyway, now we find ourselves deep in the woods in the Smoky Mountains, quite a change of pace to what we've had so far on our trip. It's so quiet her, well, except for the wildlife!
