The Favourite Part of This Trip

We left Miller Lane in the dark in a temperature of about 8 degrees. Little did we know we would see 25+ before the end of the day. This was one of the more pleasant trips through Cincinnati. We stopped for fuel before we got downtown and anticipated an easy Saturday drive instead of rush hour. However, the construction was still incomplete and it was tight towing a trailer on the narrowed lanes.

    On the Road Again

... loud snoozes from the co-pilot who must have dreamt the car was driving off of a cliff. As we rolled along the Sunshine State I couldn’t help but feel the road out of Florida was like a conveyer belt working against your tires in the opposite direction. This is our first holiday away from Colorado, our first holiday to be away from friends and family. Previously, we would have gone to Good Friday service with Paul, Catrina and the kids. We would have then all gone to church on Sunday together; and then shared a ...

... morning today. Headed for the laundromat and did up a couple of loads, then went adventuring. Went to the mounds at Ocmulgee National Monument and had a great visit. Good museum and video, amazing gathering mound with chief's circle, and visits to outside of funeral and other mounds. A bit of a walk for me through the river / backwater area with herons and egrets. Then it was on to the Fish and Pig for a great supper. Back to the camp early for some quiet time. A great ...
