    ... my butt for 12 days without talking to, making eye contact with, or hearing about anyone. I'm headed to a silent retreat in the cultural heart of Japan: Kyoto. An intensive mental and spiritual detox of sorts, I put myself through - ahem - enjoyed myself at this retreat last summer in London.
