... Also, all but one trail was flooded and even sections of the boardwalk path were under water, from recent floods. We walked as far as we could, looking at old growth hardwood forest and squirrels.

Then set off and arrived at Santee State Park. John spotted turkey vultures nearby. Beautiful wooded campground next to Lake Marion, largest lake in South Carolina, built by damming the Santee River in the 1940s. Warm weather at last. So good to be able to live outdoors ...

Then we got back on the boardwalk and finished our hike up back at the visitor center, enjoying one last walk through ...

Richard thought we'd find the same price on down the road. NO...it was $3.00. Did we stop? Nahhh...kept going. At 1/8 of a tank, we did get gas...only it was $3.03. All I can say is, it's a lot less than at ...

... a MH rental company in Ontario, Canada, and he and his wife are returning home after 2.5 months in Bradenton, FL. I've been so lucky to met some very kindly people throughout my travels.

I was out walking Willow the morning we left Santee and came across two fellows who had just returned from fishing. I asked them if they had a good day, and one of them showed me a 30+ pound catfish. Yes, a good day!!
