    Alcatraz - what a scary place to be locked away - and probably worse if you were a guard. We took the boat across the bay - chilly but smooth crossing - to Alcatraz. Busy with tourists we decided to take the little train up to the cell block. Good idea - the hill is steep. We then took the audio tour and it was really good with voices from ex guards and prisoners who told the story of life behind bars. ...
