Rain had set in for the day in New York. We were picked up by shuttle a bit before 8.30am and did the rounds filling the van and were still at Newark airport by 9.15, for our 12.50 departure to San Francisco. Though we'd rather relax sitting in an airport lounge than waiting anxiously in a hotel.
