... somewhat nicely kept up given that there wasn't much going on there. It's adjacent to Norfolk, a giant military city.

  • Norfolk, home to the east coast's largest Navy fleet, was insane - both traffic wise and people-wise. Couldn't get near the base of course, so I headed to Virginia Beach for the night, 20 minutes away.
  • Saw an awesome moon-skape over the atlantic (see picture, kind of).

    A trip to Virginia is apparently not complete without visiting Virginia Beach, a popular tourist spot about 2 hours away from the Michaels'. Beth and I packed snacks and sunscreen, towels, books and sunnies and set off for a day at the beach. It was the same direction as Williamsburg, so the road was starting to look familiar.     Earlier this summer me and Joe went on a cruise with my family and we met some amazing people. When we got back we missed them so much, we had to see them again!
