    Drove 320 miles from Columbia, MO to Santa Claus, Indiana. As we were driving through St. Louis, we stopped at the Arch, which was right near the St. Louis Cardinals baseball stadium. Briefly visited the museum under the Arch, and then had lunch at Caleco's.     ... the resort, we walked into the Casino. It wasn't very busy. But we didn't stay very long - we probably were there for all of 20 minutes, sharing $5 on the nickle slot.

    After that we headed over the main dining room in West Baden, Sinclair's. But we found it closed. So we are ate 'alfresco' in the atrium at Ballard's.

    We got home about 6:15 pm. A really nice afternoon, and we're both still just too full to even think about ...

    ... that given they are a VERY small winery, they offered 21 different wines ranging from dry to semi-sweet to sweet to fruit to spiced, and that the dry red wines they offered were not bad. Given that the winery is called Winzerwald, their white wines were typically German and tasted very similar to those we had back in the 70’s when we were stationed in the heart of the Rhine River valley.
