I didn't think I would write until I arrived home, but here I am! First I want to say sorry for my misspellings....Gavin pointed out some today! I am so use to spellcheck, I forget I don't have it in this program! Anyway...I think you understood what I meant!! We started out the day visiting Eisenhower Presidential Library in Abilene, Kansas. The morning air was still cool from the rain and wind was minimal as we headed toward Lyons. Great Bend at the 36 mile mark was a ...

On Wednesday morning we left Salina for Canton, Kansas. For those of you who don't know, I was born here and lived here until I was five. My Father's younger brother Lawrence and his wife Irma still live on the farm and in the house where they were born. This house was built in about 1903 by my grandmother and her father when she was 13. Anyway, I have not been back here since 1977 so was very anxious to be here again. We were greeted by my cousin Jay who also has a house on ...
