... food stalls everywhere. So tempting to buy things but we were pretty well behaved and just did a very little bit of Christmas shopping. After walking around for a couple hours it was later in the afternoon and time to hit the road again. We headed back to the library, climbed into the van and started to drive towards the Beaufort area islands. South Carolinas coast line is a little tricky to traverse because it is mostly made up of islands that are separated by ...

... a break the past few days so I could do some cleaning and air dry a few of the wet items. On Wednesday morning we were greeted by three dolphins swimming playfully around the marina. What beautiful creatures!

Later in the afternoon while David and John were working on the boat, I took the kids to the Lawton Stables. We met Callie the fawn and fed the hogs, goats, llamas, horses and sheep. When ...

Now I’m not a hush puppy connoisseur, but the hush puppies had that a great crunch when you bit into them but ended up melting in your mouth like ice cream. I will never pass up a good hush puppy. We don’t get to many back in Augusta. The boathouse sat right on the creek and was not like a run down or dive like oyster bar that some seafood restaurants can be, but it ...

... be the answer to world peace...I’m not joking.

This is hands down one of the best and most memorable meals I have EVER had. Every dish we tried was delicious. I certainly liked some more than others but there wasn’t one I didn’t like at all. We had fried chicken, beef stew, barbecued pork (this was a hands down favourite for both of us), collard greens, snap beans, butter beans, black-eyed peas, sour cabbage, squash, rice and ...
