... ever before, our luggage was also there so we headed off to pick up our Alamo rental car. Even that was a cinch. Not even 15 minutes and we had our jeep loaded and headed off to Cape Coral. But alas not everything was easy. We needed over an hour to reach Alligator Alley. The I-75 North was one huge traffic jam which caused us to travel an extra hour. We finally arrived in Cape Coral at 7:30 pm local time. We were so exhausted we headed straight for our beds. No travel pics ...
... when I get back. I throw out my old mattress. Now I even got more space left in my backpack because the new mattress packs away smaller. I start heading for Lauenburg, or at least, that's where I think in heading. It's not long before I realise that, again, I'm not where I think I am on the map. It's not a big problem, just a different route. The problem is that I've got to make my way trough small villages that aren't even on ...

This is the route I'm taking: Jesteburg, Hanstedt, Garlstorf, Salzhausen, Westergellersen. It's beautiful walk. I take regular stops and even have a proper siesta. When I put up camp between Westergellersen and Kirchgellersen, there's only 14 kilometre left to Lüneburg. I can do that ...
In the morning I realise, again, that a couple of trees can provide enough camouflage so that most people won't see you but dogs will know. I wake to a loud, barking dog at my tent. No problem, I'm ready for a long day of walking. I'm hoping to make it to Buchholz in der Nordheide which is quite a walk. I thought I was sleeping close to the B73 but it turns out that I was close to the L40. It doesn't matter, I catch up with the B73 fast enough. This is what I like about navigating ...
