This is the second travel day we haven't been driving in the rain so hopefully the next three days will be the same. We are now on our way back to Texas. Left the Atlanta area this morning about 10:30 on our way to Evergreen, AL. We decided to go into the South Texas Renegades rally on Tuesday instead of Wednesday so we will have to cover at least 250 miles each day.

When we left the campground this morning, it was partly ...

A favorite destination for canoeists and kayakers, Blackwater River State Park offers opportunities for a variety of outdoor activities. Thomasville to Monroeville is a 50-mile trek that started off with hills as soon as we left town. We were on a four lane divided highway with a wide shoulder for the first five miles which made the hills a little easier because we didn't have to worry about staying over constantly watching for cars behind us. The shoulders eventually narrowed at about the same time we turned off the state highway pulling us into Grove Hills, Alabama, where we scoured ...

    Bye bye Atlanta

Overnight stop in Evergreen ... on way to New Orleans.

No horse town - but several 'economy' hotels ... and a Pizza Hut.

After waiting for a storm to pass, the real story of the stop was being asked for id to get a Bud ...
