We woke up rather late and after a light breakfast, we got caught up on laundry etc and started off towards our next destination, panguitch, Utah. This was a drive of approximately six hours, from California to Utah, with a brief time in Nevada. The temperature outside was above 100 degrees Fahrenheit and the landscape was a desert. Pretty much no trees, only shrubs and small hills all over. But the highway was very busy and from inside an air conditioned car, it was a pleasant ...
... has some great old buildings and curio shops and the famous Sno Cap Drive-in. As you can see from the pictures, it is a very funky unique place and very fun people. And, of course, great malts. Burgers, fries and malts - why weren't all those people overweight?? Next in line was Hackberry and the Hackberry General Store is still open with lots of memorabilia both inside and out. We head south out of Las Vegas to hook up to Route 66 again at Barstow to complete the journey. Just before Barstow we come across a 1950's diner in the middle of nowhere called Peggy Sues. We ...
... that smooth here. Somehow we had managed to jump in a taxi driven by the most crazy paranoid and deranged arminian guy who decided he would lecture us on conspiracy theory's the whole way. He covered everything from the queens role in globalisation to David Ikes knowledge of the illuminati. I am quite fond of this topic of conversation but now was not the time or the place for such deep decisions. We actually had to get out and close the doors while he was ...
