    ... fear of a flat tire or a breakdown, and with no shelter from the heat, one wonders how long you might have to wait for assistance.
    Just short of Barstow we stopped for lunch at Peggy Sues Diner, this place is straight out of the sixties and their sandwiches were huge.     The police were fantastic and so were the witnesses; another biker in the restaurant and the staff there. We even had a guy come up to us who has a harley dealership in Illinois, to see what he could do to help.

    We caught up. Karl, Vicki and Julie who had been sightseeing and they joined us for breakfast.

    We continued on and stopped at the Bagdad Cafe, just outside Barstow for a very welcome cold drink ...

    ... small gallery with a nice lady inside with whom we spoke. She had watercolor paintings and photographs that she had produced, hanging on the walls. Also she had in there a small dog, a chihuahua that was running around, as well as another lady who apparently was there to take a class in drawing by gallery holder.
