We ate breakfast at the hotel. We all chose pretty basic options, except for Justin and Matthew, who got giant donuts. Really though, these things were huge. Justin ate more than Matthew, who mostly licked off the frosting and then ate fruit instead. If only we all had that willpower.

It was fascinating with large boulders in places, perhaps placed there when the road was constructed.
Hills of varying sizes as well which surprised me.
Here's me thinking a desert is flat!
Different varieties of cactus growing where not much else can.
Barstow is really a stop over for us, to let Paul relax before the next destination Las Vegas!
... at the indoor garden and butterfly habitat where over 500 butterflies live at any one time. It was just beautiful and the ladies were very impressed. We timed it really well and were in time for the water show out the front of the hotel.....amazing. So much to see.....and so many people out and about. Photos to come....wifi very dodgy here ...
