Asheville is another "Mountain City" with lots of History and Charm and its Roots are from the Moonshiners, Bootleggers and Lumberjacks of the late 1800's. Instantly the place felt very much like Fremantle with historic buildings, eclectic shops and café's, hippies everywhere, buskers playing music and shows, tie dye clothes, hipster beards …
... the library and my trusty notebook which I've been recording important spots to hit during my time abroad. Let me just say, it was quite the circus act carrying these books home. At least the travel books have kept me sane. I know this will be one of the greatest experiences of my life, I just have to step outside my comfort zone and do it!

... it was 10:45pm before we got back to the campground and we were exhausted. Tomorrow we are headed to Franklin, NC to see Jeff's Grandfather and his wife Mary Lou . Franklin is just over an hour drive from Asheville so we are leaving early in the morning so we can go to church with them and then spend the afternoon together.
Day #5 was a success, yet not without adventure. Until tomorrow.....

... out the quirky shops and people. We even gave a woman (with a genuine Southern accent, finally) a ride to an AA meeting at a local church. Southern people are so friendly...
The drive back was so nice. Good talks, beautiful scenery (thanks to a wrong turn), and it finally cooled down. We ended the night with some BBQ, at a place that was truly hopping. It was so much fun. ...
