      ... quite expensive so it might be a good idea for students to bring their own water bottle and some lunch. It is a big day out so you might be feeling a little tired at the end of the day so I would recommend for a school group not to plan anything for the evening, Just grap something easy on the way home from the zoo for dinner and hit the hay,,,

      ... showed us how high the water got. It was crazy. It went right up to an area of houses and also covered a small road bridge too!!

      After crossing the river, we walked along it for a while and then cut up a few streets to go to downtown. Stephen Avenue was the main shopping street, so we walked along there.       ... 3.5 hour drive through the mountains. Starting at an altitude of almost 5000m, the bus descended deep into the Colca Canyon where the town of Chivay sat way down at the bottom but still at 3650m (12,000').
