... dog bowl fastened top a wooden plank. The other guys put all the bowls around you and then you start scooping and they take the food off to the dogs. Some of the dogs then immediately tip their bowls onto the snow to get rid of the water.

... lodge allocated our teams. My team consists of two crazy hyperactive male lead dogs Refat and Rune. They are brothers and surprisingly small dogs. Refat is particulary friendly and loves jumping up to you and getting a nice cuddle! In the middle I have Goggo. She's a very pretty dog and quite excited. At the back I have Uno and Jim. ... deviation between magnetic north and Grid north (GM angle) was so extreme it was visible and seemed to be between 20-30 degrees. Any place I've ever done land nav, the angle was just about negligible, but I could imagine it'd make any sort of long range walking with map and compass a real headache. If none of that makes sense, I apologize for rambling. These are just the things I find interesting.
