The uneventful stretch begins. Me and Kayvon sit and eagerly await the metal monster that will transport us to our next destination. During our flashing lights, toxic air, lady boy seizure known as Bangkok we got complacent and signed up for a stretch of travel that may have not tickled our spontinacity fancies. There were magnificent, burly trees leaning over slow moving green streams, which just made you want to stay and enjoy a picnic in the shade. We rode our bikes through tranquil streets, enjoying the view of nature and the slow pace. Number ...

Sukhothai: the calm after the chaos (Helen)

... a flat tyre and cooked the most amazing breakfasts (see photos), all with a smile. My highlight here was the opportunity to hire bikes and get out and see some of the countryside on our own. There is one particular view that I hope I never forget: with the sun rising in the sky and the haze blurring the horizon we cycled past the silent but majestic ruins of a Wat and to our left ...
