... location. It's 29 degrees and a little overcast, this has no effect on the crystal clear warm water which is truly magical. ... promised us, but a normal 4 people in a row bus, making stops every hour or so, even to pray.... - 10 min taxi ride to the ferry station - more than 3 hours waiting for the ferry to leave - close to 2 hours on the ferry - 1.5 hours waiting after the ferry dropped us, for our little hotel boat to come and pick us up ( as there are no roads on this island) .......and then we finally arrived, and it felt like heaven compared to all our previous hotels..... It was fun whilst it lasted, but another 3 weeks of standing around and drying glasses was definitely not going to do my sanity any good.

Having arrived in Mersing and attempted to make the locals smile in Port Cafe with no success we were glad to catch the ferry and escape to the Tioman Islands, even though getting on the ferry was pretty chaotic!
Having arrived at Swiss Cottage and seen that our chalet was literally on the beach and we woke up to a view of the sea every morning,we felt pretty smug that we had booked so long ago!

... The water around the island we went to was some of the most beautiful of the whole trip and the temperature was perfect the whole day. If Julie didn't lose her watch to the deep dark sea there would have been no complaints!
So after two great days soaking in the sun and chilling out, we said our goodbyes to Tioman. We could've stayed there for a long time, but we had more family to visit down in Johor Bahru.
