Day three of four at Bagus Place. What a difference a day makes. Thunderstorms all night and after a brief respite in the morning, rain and thunder most of the day. Despite feeling stiff and lethargic in the morning I managed to motivate myself to run. A gentle walk to the start of the concrete path and then a thirty minute run through the fishing village and onto the waterfall via the jetty. With all the rainfall overnight the ...

You know that saying 'if something seems too good to be true it probably is' well that pretty much sums up our first experience of helpx. Things didn’t really start too well, we turned up in Mersing where we had been told to go on our first day of work and turned up at the office to find it closed. Unfortunately on the third day the weather was not so good, ...

... minutes to book and pay. Front row seats, it seems the locals don't like these seats.

Martin went off on the food run and then the bus arrived so muggins ended up carrying all the bags onto the bus again! Martin arrived with breakfast so all was forgiven. We left at 8am.

The drive was good but our driver was did like overtaking at the very last minute. Sitting at the front made everything seem scarier! We made it in one piece after 4 hours. The bus stops right ...

... got a bite to eat and started chatting to a girl who lived in singapore. I was heading there next so she gave me some advice on where to go. I was kinda hoping she'd offer to put me up as she mentioned her place was in the tourist area and accommodation is really expensive but the offer never came! I then had a bit of a wander and headed south passing some of the other beaches which were equally as unimpressive. There was a good 7km walk through the jungle to the east side but as it ...
