    I had trouble remembering where we are at the moment. I also had trouble remembering which way out of the lift to turn.

    So 75miles and it rained none stop but thats ok as you reach a point when you can't get any more wet and to be honest it was not cold when we were cycling. Only when stopped so had one SAG stop to sign in quickly then continued.

    Cycled with Kettie, Ingun, PC and Doug all of the day. 4 people fell off due to rain and railroad tracks but ...

    ... and farms. It is amazing how neat and trimmed the farms are. In contrast to when we went to the Amish communities near Intercourse PA we saw many foals both draft and driving horses in the individual pastures. The other contrast was that we saw no mules in their fields for pulling the equipment, it was all work horses or driving stock.

    ... Well done film which gave a good overview of the battle.

    The battle occurred on September 17, 1862. Lee was hoping to invade the north and General George McClellan was hoping to send him back across the Potomac. The Confederates believed that a victory on union soil would lead to the recognition of the Confederacy by Britain and maybe France. Lincoln was searching for a victory to stop European involvement.
