Vegas Baby!!!!!
Hey everyone,
Well as we drove towards Las Vegas all you could see was the Big glow in the distance getting brighter as we got closer. It is absolutely blinding on how much lighting and action is happening at night. So we checked in to our Hotel right in the middle of the strip (great location). Dad and mum finally recieved there luggage …
2011's Journey Begins
01-07-2011 - My first trip in 2011 is a little get-a-way for my wife and myself. We have our autistic daughter (22 yr old) in respite for a few days and we are going to have our first "Date Nights" this year in Las Vegas. We're flying 1st class on Sat morning and plan to be spontaneous during the trip. No specific agenda, just go see some live …
Las Vegas!!
A group of about 16 of us drove to Vegas and arrived in the afternoon. After checking into the hotel we went for a walk along the strip and saw many of the sights. There are all sorts of people on the strip and many people walking along drinking so there is quite a unique atmosphere on the strip! Later we all went for dinner at the Harley Davidson …

Historical Traveler Reviews Polo Towers Villas Las Vegas
Polo Tower Nightmare
What a nightmare...On our first day in Las Vegas (first time being there), we were snagged by a man in front of the Tropicana. He led us over to a booth, where we were told that we could get free tickets to a show (American SuperStars at the Stratosphere), 2 free dinner buffets, and admission to the Stratosphere Tower Observation Deck. Sounded too good to be true. And all we had to do was have a quick tour of this fabulous lounge down the street. We were told that we would love the great atmosphere of the lounge, and that refreshments would be provided. Stupid us...We returned for our scheduled departure time (along with a bus load of some other poor souls), and taken to the Polo Towers. We were ushered into a front desk, and only then were told that it was for a time share sales pitch, and that it would last for 2 hours. At that point, we were annoyed, but wanted the free tickets, and we felt that no one could force us to buy anything...who cares, let's just listen to the presentation. We all sat at individual tables, and had a sales rep talk with us one-on-one about our vacation habits. Our lady was very nice at the beginning. We are a young couple who has vacationed about twice a year for the past 5 years. She told us that she had only been doing time share sales for 3 months, and went on to weave this incredible web of her life...telling us about all the places she's lived and traveled to, and that she owns a time share at the Polo Towers...yeah right. Anyways, the tour of the facility was alright...it definitely seems like a nice place...great location, great idea. Then came the heavy sales pitch. We were again sat down, and ended up feeling like our back was against the wall. We tried to explain that it was a very big decision, not one that could be made over night. We are tring to save for our own home in Canada, and are definitely not ready for this big commitment, expecially buying in US funds. We were then very rudely treated by one of the managers who tried to pressure us even more, and make us feel terrible for not purchasing a time share.
Once the lady finally got it through her head that we weren't going to buy, she became really rude...she stood up and stomped off muttering how she hadn't made a sale in 3 weeks...not our problem! We did meet a very nice representative for the contractor though. His name was Trevor, and he was a Matt Damon look-alike. What a great guy. He understood our situation, and did not make us feel terrible for just wanting the free tickets. He walked us down, and told us all about the best sights to see in Las Vegas. However, the show was alright, the buffet was ok, and the view from the Stratosphere was amazing. Not too bad for 2 hours of feeling like your back was against a wall. Never again will I fall for another time share scam.
We bought in at a great deal!
We went for some free show tickets and ended making a deal with the developer for a trial membership for 18 mos. It seemed pretty good. It did take 3 hours but we walked away happy. There was no way, as newlyweds we could afford $10000 down so we made a $300 deposit. The Developer worked with us and made us a awesome deal!
We still have to schedule the vacation time and everything, but it seems legit!
Gerat place
We visited vegas and bumped into some people offering Lord of the Dance tickets we decided to go ahead and listen to the sales pitch...well we proposed to the sales guy that if he could get us into the polo towers for our remaining three nights that we would buy. *We were already going to buy reguardless* It was tough to get a room but they were able to do it. We were extreamly happy with the two bedroom we were given.
It is absolutely a gorgeous place! The welcome manager even gave us free buffett tickets in a nearby casino for the extra 15 minutes or so it took to find us the room they had promised us. I was very happy with everything it was a very nice experiance. We even got $1K in airfare and two additional free weeks to use. I am glad we purchased a two bedroom share with the polo towers. I can't wait to go back and enjoy vegas again.
Rochelles Way or the Highway
After listening to a lengthy sales pitch (3 hours), we decided not to purchase a unit. Our timeshare salesperson would not take no for an answer and she kept putting us off with new infromation. Eventually she heard the no and got up and left us at the table. No good buys, no gifts, no signing us out; just huffed out. And I mean huffed! After 15 min. we went in search of information on just how to leave. We waited another 30 min. for the bus ride back to our hotel. We own a timeshare and were potential buyers, but now after seeing the true colors, I'd say we were very, very lucky in Vegas!
Location,location,location
Bought at the Villas last year. Still in shock and awe of it's location and quality. Best spot on the strip while avoiding the crowds of the mega-resorts....See you again in September
Deceived, empty promises, bait/switch
My husband and I received telesales call to view Polo Towers Timeshare, now since we visit Vegas every Memorial Day Weekend we were thrilled!
We booked in July 2002 for May 2003. We paid "Extra since it was a Holiday weekend and we also wanted an extra night, so it was about $600 for 5 nights. We were told we would have a 2 bedroom suite that sleeps six, full kitchen and all the good stuff! I confirmed my reservation three weeks prior as well as once the week before as well. On the day of departure I called in and confirmed a late check in as we would be landing in Vegas at 11pm. Upon arrival we checked-in. Our room was the size of a run down old Rodeway Inn! One bed, small lil sink, microwave!
Definately not a suite!! We were missing soap, a lightbulb, had a torn screen on a dirty balcony and no ash tray. We called room services and they could not help us as they were booked due to the holiday, and our guests had to leave and go find other lodging!!! They changed our scheduled timeshare tour time as well! We marched right down to the timeshare desk the next am, told the manager what was going on. He "promised" we would have our lightbulb, soap, and screen fixed immediatley. We were NOT treated the same as if we had bought a vacation ownership! After our 3 hour tour, we were treated as if we were non existent! I strongly advise being very careful when dealing with Polo Towers, we paid for a deluxe suite to sleep 6 and ended up in a hut! Tourist beware!
Left Stranded
We were left stranded after the 3 hour tour (supposed to be 2 hours) and sales promo. We needed to check out of our hotel and since we didn't buy a timeshare, no one cared. After waiting for almost 2 hours in the parking lot, we paid for a taxi. We constantly complained to the receptionists for Polo Towers, along with about 12 other people, but all they did was make promises that never happened. This place made us VERY MAD and TG we didn't buy a timeshare with them!
Always enjoyable!
We have been owners at Polo Towers for six years. Everytime we come to Las Vegas, we rent a car, go to the grocery store, and get things to eat for the week. I love getting up in the AM, going to the kitchen, fixing my coffee, and just relax in luxury. They have always been very easy to work with if we didn't go "by the book" as far as giving a 90 day notice of when we wanted to come, exchanges etc. One year we went without much notice, and they said they could put us in The Jockey Club.Very nice, but I didn't enjoy it as much as Polo Towers. We really enjoy the rooftop pool, and the bar with the most beautiful view.
Customer Service - nonexistent
My husband and I had visited the Polo Towers. My husband wanted to purchase a share immediately. I, however, used my veto power. Don't get me wrong. The place seems very nice and a terriffic location. I just wanted to wait until we had more time to travel. since then we have discussed it, and are nore receptive.A few months ago we received a call from the Towers offering us a 7 night vaction plus ... other stuff. We thought - great, we will look at it again and if we still felt the same way - maybe purchase a share.Well - to make a long story short. We sent the payment in. We were assured we could make our reservations for anytime. We have made several calls to make reservation, and in fact, invited some family to join us. It took them days to return a call and they could never even give us a date to work around. The dates we suggested were too far in advance. They couldn't hold them. The rooms are only available with a day or two notice (if available)We cannot make these kinds of plans with 2 days notice because of airline reservations. We asked for our money back. They will not let us cancel. Well POLO TOWERS - YOU HAVE LOST A POTENTIAL CUSTOMER and we are looking into legal action.
Prime location
Polo Towers is a timeshare resort located in the middle of the strip's fabulous hotels and casinos, but there is no gambling on site. It is between MGM Grande and the Aladdin. Bellagio, Paris, Monte Carlo, New York New York, Excaliber, and Flamingo are all an easy walk. Even though it's a timeshare, you can rent a nice studio room or one or two bedroom suite if owner's are not using them, especially weekdays. Weekends may be fully booked. It's a 5 star resort year 'round... the highest timeshare resort ranking. There is a great view from the 19th floor lounge, a rooftop pool, and a tennis court. The resort includes a convenience store in-house and has inexpensive limousine service to and from the airport and van service to the Venetian up the strip and other locations. They have a web address: polotowers
