We went down to reception and asked for the Security Manager - he was not in so the Assistant Manager came and spoke with us - we advised him of our previous discussions with his counterpart about letting off fireworks. He was sitting on the fence abit with us but in the end was ok but didnt want himself to get into strife.

... Sting Ray. This was great and we did our usual 3 minute Safety Stop on both dives.

Jamie was again happy with her dives and saw plenty of fish life; visibility was about 15-20m and water temperature was around 27 degrees.

Back to the Dive Shop and I finished some study skills from the SCUBA book whilst Jamie finished her Open Water videos.

... quite hard to get into the sea for a paddle. We got showed to our room…Oh Dear! It needed some serious TLC, and a clean! Any way we went down to the beach for a couple of hours and then we got called for dinner by a drum. It was ok, not the worse food. That night tried very hard to have a shower but when it trickling out and freezing cold you sort of give up. The night was a traditional Fijian night so we had a Kava ceremony, VOM the stuff tastes like cold tea mixed with ...

... s now a 15 min ride to Ellington's Wharf to catch the boat over to the Island, Martina gets on the phone to the Island to say we need picking up in 5 from the Wharf, big confusion they didn't think we were coming so have let the dorm, she does a lot of bargaining(she's good at this) and we are offered one bed in the dorm and three people in a tent for one night then we can have the dorm to ourselves, we accept as we have no where else to go and ...

... wrong we were :( We met the guy who owned the Resort called Steve. He told us the place was full so kindly rang around other hostels and villas to stay in. However they were also all fully booked. Oops!! We all discussed it and said we don't mind just kipping on the beach. Steve then said he didn't mind us sleeping on the pool loungers as we had no where to go ha ha. This was turning into a real road trip now :D
