    It has rained all night and still raining when we got up this morning. We went out to check the nets a bit later at 8am but no wind so not bad. Just drizzle but 6 out of ten nets were empty.     ... shovels after blasting with dynamite - it must have been back breaking work. In some places the scenery was incredible as we looked back down towards Cairns. There was a great waterfall which flowed under one of the bridges and the train slowed so that we could take photos. Along the way we stopped at Baron Falls Station to take photographs.     ... and watched the sleepy koalas lazily munch the eucalyptus. Apparently, eucalyptus is low in nutritional value, which causes the koalas to spend all of their time eating and sleeping.

    I caught the historic train back to Cairns. The railway was built by hand in the late 1800s, and the rail cars have been restored. The train passed through the rainforest and then fields of sugar cane as it neared Cairns Central.

    ... We got to see nemo in his home (clown fish) - he's so tiny! We saw another big clam, and got an extreme close up, saw the beautiful coral, lots of pretty fish of all different shapes and sizes, we held a sea cucumber which we picked up from the sand at the bottom, and then we even got to see a big barracuda!!
