... roads back through rain forest mountains to the City.
As we passed the shopping centre I called in to see if i could get my eye checked out as it was still red near the pupil even after a week of not wearing my contact lenses. Not sure if you remember me mentioning it last week but it suddenly came on and made my eye a little itchy. So luckily the lady in Specsavers and was really helpful and saw me straight away. She had a good look at it with her magic tools and said I had ...
Cairns, Queensland, Australia gaz-lj... it's more of a jumping-off point for the super awesome stuff that's around here like the Tully River, GBR, and the Daintree Rainforest. Cool stuff.

Today I really didn't do a whole lot. Called home, literally destroyed my cellphone bill for the next six years (thanks mom!), went out and bought a kickass didgeridoo, and then I think we're doing a barbeque tonight at the lagoon!

That is all for now. I go whitewater rafting tomorrow!

Later gator.
Cairns, Queensland, Australia stuggin... headed back down the mountain. The railway winds its way through 15 hand carved tunnels, across the giant bridge over Stoney Creek Falls and past Barron Falls. The railway was constructed by hundreds of men between 1882 and 1891 and is considered an engineering feat of tremendous magnitude. Jacob loved the ride, as he could hang his head out the window to see the other carriages up ahead, we were lucky to be in the last one.

We did take another trip one day into ...
Cairns, Queensland, Australia serenitynow... Germany, USA, Brazil, Canada, and elsewhere. Of much surprise, there were maybe 6-8 Americans (10-15% of total), whereas last year’s trip had much more. I suppose that not many Americans can afford to travel or don’t want to go on 14 hour trip from LAX.

Now onto the people. The only person I disliked was Hillary, a loudmouthed obnoxious American Jew who does embarrass me as both American ...

Cairns, Australia mikelaToday was one of the best days even though it didnt look like it was going to be. We had a trip to the reef postponed from Monday due to the cyclone so it had been changed to today. It was a beautiful day on monday and then when we woke up, it was torrential rain. We were assured it was to be a clear day out on the reef so reluctantly we boarded our boat the Osprey with Down Under tours. Had we thought this through we would have realised ...
