    ... roller coaster I convinced dad to buy me a memento from Disney Land. We went into a jewellery store/ glass sculpture store. You could see a man making sculptures and a few big vases with tinker bell on them which cost $2000 Australian if you wanted to buy it. I found some pretty necklaces but then I saw the expensive ones. Dad found me a nice one with Mickey Mouse on it and we bought it for $60 Australian. I had expected and more...what I hadn't anticipated (I'm not sure why?) and was immediately struck by, was the huge disparity between the very rich and the very poor....evident when you compared the fantastic hotels and shops full of obviously (and it seemed in some cases obscenely) wealthy people to the run down and cramped apartment buildings and the people touting for sales on the markets.     ... didn't see Disneyland as we didn't want to ruin the excitement for next week. After a very nice 20min walk we arrived at Disneyland Hotel. We went into its gift shop and success there was Duffy the Disney Bear. I got Duffy, a small mickey, Duffy's sailor outfit, some stamps, a watch and a earphone holder and then decided I should wait for Disneyland to spend more money. Duffy is so cute!!!!
