... Gandhi's house in Laburnum Road (fascinating), the Prince of Wales Museum and The Gate of India. Today we took a boat trip (very frightening in a tub that did not look at all sea-worthy) to the Elephanta Caves which are over 1500 years old and quite spectacular. However, sprawling Mumbai provided us with a chance to have a strong drink, some good food and a bit of escapism at the cinema. We also enjoyed visiting the infamous 'Leopold's' the drinking den heavily featured in 'Shantaram'. ... It’s located on the busy airport link road so wasn’t really in an area to go walking around. We had dinner at the hotel – chicken kebabs, lamb rogan josh and a chicken dish. Then Fran and Michael finished off the meal with chocolate brownie puddings for dessert!
