Radisson Suite Hotel Winnipeg Airport

This was a little adventure in itself...so will spend some time explaining at a later date...
had a good trip though, and met some nice people....
the food was amazing, and we even got upgraded to our own little "room" with champagne for the last night.
Going through the Rockies was pretty cool too!

... we had there was that the food was ridiculously expensive (like $8 for a burger at Burger King) and they wouldn't let you bring in water that I bought in the terminal.

Toronto was also uneventful but it was sad saying goodbye to Dan. In Winnipeg I was greeted by my mom and grandma. What a nice surprise! Then it was off to home where I shared stories and went to bed!

So, that's about it! It was a wonderful time. I met amazing people, saw incredible places and loved every minute of it!

The Day before the Beginning: So here I am on my last day in Winnipeg, packed, prepared and starting to feel a bit of nervousness. Or is it excitement? ... Pakistan and women from China and Laos. Everybody enjoyed each other and had so many laughs - even our dealer was busting a gut now and then. She was also very happy when the table was winning. Decided to shut her down around 2:00 having spent 3 hours having a good time with everyone. ... blocked the gate and starting singing Oh Canada. It was very evident the employees working at the gate were getting a little annoyed, and I was too. Lets just get on the plane, we will be doing enough singing once we get there!

I've been back in Canada two days now. The flights home were tiring. Edinburgh via Amsterdam and Minneapolis, then finally into Winnipeg. The last two flights were killer on my ears, my head feeling like it was going to explode, and then losing my hearing, and now on antibiotics and such because apparently the cold I caught over 3 weeks ago upon leaving Ios is now an ear infection. Geez! Oh, well. I am never too surprised ...

... more that 50 years, and to meet his wife and one of his kids. On the road again to Feura Bush, N.Y (near Albany) to visit my mother's cousin and family. While in Albany I got to visit a WWII destroyer docked in the river. What a hoot. I can't imagine being on one of those during an Atlantic storm. (or worse - during war).
