Updating our trip one last time! <br><br>Hard to believe that just 24 hrs ago we were saying by to our friends in Lima. I wish I had the right words to say how much this trip has meant to me. Happy to see Jeff's excitement, sad to see some of the emotions. Energized with all the excitement, exhausted from all the excitement. Amazed by the people of Lima, discouraged from the overwhelming feeling. A mix of emotions to say the least ...

Decatur, AL is not the kind of place you want to get out and explore... even less so is where our hotel was in the nearby town of Athens, AL. We pulled in on Saturday night, about 8pm, and quickly realized that we weren't in Kansas anymore... or rather, New Orleans. Most of the local restaurants were already closed, or about to close, and were closed on Sundays... yeehaw. Needless to say, with the lack of entertainment and food options nearby, I opted to spend my time in the hotel ...

WE FINALLY MADE IT! A few wrong turns, some crazy hick towns, and one AMAZING BBQ restaurant and we are finally here. The trip was FULL of anticipation and alot of humor. ... see about getting Anne a new laptop. Steve and I will assist in getting her files moved over (we have to earn our keep somehow). Steve needs a quick fix of IT work - he misses everyone at Prudential. WIth the Hurricane Gustav getting ready to hit the US Gulf Coast, we are watching the weather to see when it would be best for us to leave...there is no sense in getting caught in the storm, so we will be here for another day or two by the looks of things.
