Jonathan. After another big drive it was great to get to our house in San Francisco pretty much unscathed. A lovely house in the Potrero district of San Francisco right above the city itself with amazing views of the crazy steep hills and overlooking the San Francisco skyline. A quick stroll in our neighbour hood OJ Simpsons old stomping ground show'd us some quirky cafes, bars and restaurants with an amazing view of the floodlit A&T park home of the giants ...
Working at home in morning-more travel and Accomm to book for August ... Set off for Mission and 24th - Latino/ hipster district for summerstreet festival -was a long and steep walk to get there - streets re mostly straight here ( grids) but dip up and down across deep valleys/hills - hard walks! The length of 24th down to mission and beyond is great ...
... Cable Car. After walking all day, I really just want to sit down. It was still a trek to the cable car though and I find myself back in Chinatown, and back at the bubble tea spot I'd seen earlier on our tour. Of course then I went in and picked up a refreshing peach green tea. For you bubble tea lovers out there, here's a twist on the drink. YOU are the one scooping pearls and jellies into your drink. Some people went crazy nearly filling their cups, ...
... I feel like total rat **** and just want my bed. We got back on the boat and once we were back at the wharf went to Boudin so we could all enjoy a delicious soup in a bread bowl experience. Really good!! Walk back to the hotel and curse how freaking cold it is once again and by the time I am back in the room I am shivering and feeling so awful so I put on my trackies and get comfy in my delicious bed. Watch a few movies and recharge so I am able to go out tonight. Good choice!! Not ...
Got off ship after clinic (getting a bit busier now, quite a few flus....) and went on winery tour with Rebecca. Completely free because we were going on a passenger tour as 'escorts' but we don't have to do anything! Went to three winery's and got thought about each wine and how it's made and where it came from etc which was really interesting. Then tried A LOT of different wines, at least 7 at each stop, from whites to reds to champagne ...

Historical Traveler Reviews Radisson Hotel San Francisco Airport Bay Front Brisbane
Very Good Hotel
We stayed here for one night before flying out of San Francisco.
The rooms were large and very clean with good bathrooms. There was a fridge, microwave oven and safe in the room.
The hotel is some 4 miles from the airport with complimentary shuttle bus running to the airport every 30 minutes.
There was a smallish indoor swimming pool with a very hot jacuzzi and a small, well equipped gym.
We ate in the hotel restuarant and both the food and service were excellent.
This hotel was a real surprise, it was very good and I would highly recommend it. If you wanted to have a base outside SF then it offers excellent value for money - we only paid $90 for the night.
Good pre-flight hotel
We chose to stay at the Radisson because of the park and fly rate. The rosoms were nice and comfortable. Pool area and workout facility was okay. We have stayed here before and found the hotel restaurant (which is not affiliated with the hotel) to be poor at best. We ordered food in from one of the local italian restaurants for dinner. It is a short jog to the airport and the shuttles run every half hour from 4:00 a.m. - 11:00 p.m. If you need the shuttle in the morning let them know at check in to ensure that someone is there for you. We came back to find our car still safe and sound. We will also stay for our upcoming trip in August.
Recently stayed at Radisson at Sierra Point for a one-night stay because of a business trip in silicon valley.
Excellent, 4 Star Hotel
This was one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in. The only minus was its location. It is a 20 min drive to San Francisco. You can also use a shuttle to get to the airport and take a train to San Francisco from there.
This hotel is clean, has nice features. The rooms are big and nicely furnished. Great lobby. Good health center. The new mediteranean restaurant that opened, has some good food there. You just need to know what to order.
Coplimentary Internet too...
Good hotels, food service terrible
As noted in the title. the rooms are nice, it's a good location if your attending a game at 3Com( Monster Stadium) or on a lay over.
The shuttle service runs at their own pace or not at all. The hotel staff is nice the rooms are decent & clean. The food is good but the service is the worst! It took 1 hours for a steak & some burgers. Forget the bartender, even tips don't work. When I complained to the Manager he said the food service is contracted out. I advise we will no longer be staying there. It's just to much of an inconvenience.
It was our first trip to San Francisco and I chose something close to the airport to make catching our flights easier. The room was nice and roomy. Complimentary high speed internet access was a nice touch as well. The staff was helpful and knowledgable regarding travelling into the city and was generally pleasant. Overall a nice place to stay.
A fair deal
We stayed for 3 nights on our outbound trip and 1 night on our return back to the airport a month later for a flight to London. The rooms were quiet, plenty large enough, good bed and the crib was already up in the room.
Room service was friendly and the food fine.
I was suprised though, that there was no concierge service or help with bags, especially at an airport hotel. Check in and out was efficient but cool.
A good deal in fairness as it did only take 20 mins to downtown and parking is not a problem. Cheaper than the city.
We stayed at this hotel going to and coming from Hawaii. We chose it because it was a Radisson, close to the airport for an early morning flight and had a shuttle. The room was nice.
Good for park and ride to airport
We arrived late on June 25th 2004 and left early the next morning for the airport. The room was very nice, the mattresses very comfortable and the room was quiet! The shuttle service to the airport is every half hour. The room was around $120 for the one night which included the sfo airport shuttle and our car was parked there the whole 7 days we were gone, the area seemed quiet and safe and my husband remarked, "our car will be safe here". It was great to start off our trip to Hawaii in a nice hotel. When we arrived they did give us the wrong room, with only one bed, but upon calling the desk they switched our room to an appropriate one immediately. I noted lots of people enjoying the indoor pool but we just slept.
During our stay at the Radisson at Sierra Point we were very impressed. Upon check-in we were greeted quickly and check-in was quick. We had a room on the 8th floor with a view of the Bay and the Marina. The room was large and the feather bed was wonderful. The room furnishings were very tasteful. We had breakfast and dinner at the Xebec restaurant at the hotel and found it and the service very good. The hotel is convenient to the city and the airport. It is about 4 miles from the airport and 7 miles from the city. The hotel has an airport shuttle bus and on-site car rental. We would recommend this hotel to anyone looking to save money by staying outside the city.
