About 3 hours on the road today leaving Norway and into Sweden. Lots of very pretty lakes and farming on the rolling hills. Mainly dairy type farming and corn in this area. Karlstad is a pretty town but there are not a lot of historical things to visit. The church dates back to 1737. There are lots of pretty waterways and canals. Just before entering Karlstad we came upon an Ikea store. At least the food was reasonable priced there unlike most of the food in ...

Strangely when we arrived it had stopped raining and was a quite nice, if cold, afternoon. So we went for a walk around the lake.

We came back and had a quick tea. The one thing we have found is that despite the temperature being quite cold overnight we haven't been cold at all. Thank goodness for good insulation.

The rain returned just on bed time.

The hotel we are staying in is an old gaol that has been converted for us the new inhabitants to stay in.

The town has a river with people swimming in it and people boating and just laying around in the water on rubber tubes.

The bridge has pretty flowers all over it a lovely park alongside the river.

... it will be filled with a bunch of fresh experiences, which is basically why I’m putting this up. I’m thinking of having something to collect to the future but also to share with friends and family. However, I cannot ensure that I am good at updating frequently. It depends on the situation. But I will surely keep a regular basis of writing and taking pictures to at least store in my computer for further upload.

      Take care until next time,

Quite a lot of rain in the night but it didn't stop us sleeping. The trouble with this campsite was that although they made clear that this was early season and not all facilities were available, the fact that reception was only open for half an hour in the evening meant that basics like buying a token for the shower when you actually wanted to use it was impossible, as was getting the code for the wifi, which didn't make much difference as the wifi was switched off. ...
