... br>We flew through Lagos, *****ia, to Johannesburg, and I spent anoth** 13 thoroughly boring hours in that airport, but enjoyed my first real salad in 6 weeks! And last Wednesday I arrived in B**lin. That first show** was possibly the most blissful exp**ience I've had all year, or maybe ev**. Th**e is nothing like hot, streaming wat** aft** 6 weeks without it, and watching the grime peel off your skin. And my tan is still th**e - it wasn't all dirt!! I spent the first few days ...

Holstebro, Jutland, Denmark fisebSilkeborg was a beautiful little city built around it's river. It had walking paths by the river, and in the summer had river cruises. Such a pretty place. One thing that caught our attention was the garages for boats, complete with roller doors and all.
Silkeborg, Jutland, Denmark danandrozAnother viking museum called Moesgard. Fantastic. There was also a forest walk that was replanted in various sections with trees that grew in different time periods of Denmarks history. One section was planted with trees from one particular era, and another section with another era, etc. You'd call it a giant open-air flora museum. It was beautiful, even in winter. There were also things like an iron age house and a stone age barrow and a more recent fishermans house etc.
Arhus, Central Jutland, Denmark danandrozDidn't do much. Meet Trine a friend who I had meet last time traveling in Death Valley in the States. Aalborg, Denmark johnhart... and his flat mate, rene, were great. Rene wasnt working so he toook me around the city for the first day i was there. we walked all over and headed up to the Aalborg tower which sat over 100m above the city. It was a great view from the top and we sat up there for a while and it was quite weird feeling it rock in the wind. The next day Rene and i decided we would go out to a nearby island called Egholm. We caught the ferry out there and decided we ...
Aalborg, Denmark nath_h... Silkeborg museum where a well-preserved bog find from the early Iron Age, called the "Tollund Man" is kept. He is a mere 2,400 years old and just looks like he is sleeping ... a bit scary looking but rather interesting. The next day we took a boat ride to Himmelbjerget ... Denmark´s 2nd largest mountain I think (or should I say hill). We hiked up the whole 147 metres of it and then decided to strain ourselves a little (not) and go the extra 20 metres up the tower on top of it for a ...
Aalborg, Denmark kenanddonna2005Today we leave Copenhagen and make our way to Aalborg. On our way to Aalborg, we stopped at Odense to see the house Hans Christian Anderson was born. Nothing special about then yellowish plain house and it was not as cool as Shakespeare's at Stratford-Upon-Avon. We didn't pay to get into the house. Instead we were given time to roam the town and have lunch. We were given barely enough time to walk to the town and grabbed a bite. Lunch was ...
Odense and Aalborg, Denmark ricochetOnce a week I used to meet with the youth group at Hillerød Library to do book, film, pc-game and music reviews. DR-Radio had heard of us and invited us to Aalborg to do a couple of shows. It was a lot of fun, eventhough the trip home wasn't that nice, because we were stuck in Storebælts Tunnelen, because there was a hurrican over Demark that day, yay. But we got home eventually, about 4 hours late.
