Well I thought the ferry trip was over but no, the adventure continued with a minor altercation with a Danish biker involving a fallen bike on the ferry ..... Long story short, insurance details were exchanged and the nose cone on the BMW is a little scuffed. So we leave eisberg and head on a tourist road towards a place called ringkøbing which lies between the sea and a fjord on ...

Tonight we are staying outside of Aalborg. We travelled to Skagen which is located at the northern tip of the Jutland peninsula. It is a major shipping centre and fishing town. During the summer it is also a tourist town. Very quaint houses - likely many are vacation rentals. Then we headed back south to Aalborg where we will stay overnight before taking the ferry to Sweden tomorrow ...

... re free! For us who frequently wild camp, they are perfect-as it means instead of discreetly finding our own free campsite in the wild, we can now do it without any guilt!! The location of these sites can be found by googling udinaturen.naturstyrelsen.dk and ticking the boxes for overnight camping. The map then shows the location of these sites. On an ipad you can then expand and click on these symbols to find the details and their exact location. Although in Danish, ...

I absolutely adore Aalborg! It is not a tourist part of Denmark by any means but it is wonderful. The people are so lovely and friendly, it is very safe and clean, the night life is great, it is beautiful and the food!...... I don't think the food gets any better than it does in Denmark!

I have been here twice already but plan on going many more times and hope, one day to go on a more permanent basis :-)

      ... a few:)

The night before we made a "Tyskland/Germany" sign. We arrived on the road leading outside of Aalborg exactly at 10:00. Put up our thumbs and voila! 5 minutes later we got a ride and all the way to Germany, about 80 km south of Hamburg. We were picked up by 2 teachers going to visit some friends there - Mette and Jesper. The car was a very small Toyota. Mostly they were talking with Kaare in Danish, every once in a while I also got ...
