It only took 3 1/2 hours to get there, then a couple of hours drive to the small village of Klim, just near Fjerritslev. We settled into our nice hotel room, then went for a short drive down to the beach - bit disappointing by Oz standards - lots of pebbles, some sand, flat surf. Had a lovely dinner at the hotel restaurant. The next day, Friday, we set off up the coast to a town ...

We then set off in search of the tourist information centre, ...

... to Ålborg and decided to try the harbour nearest the town, there are four to choose from. The one we selected was called Vestre Bådehavn , one of the original harbours and as such, festooned with posts to negotiate, most of which would doubtless be situated too close together to be any use to us. However, we were lucky and just on the outside of a line of boxes there was a pontoon with a German boat tied alongside and with room for us to squeeze ...

We landed at Hirtshals before heading to Aalborg. First impressions of Denmark is that it is flat! It is made up of approximately 440 islands with a temperate climate with warm & dry summers. Unlike Norway and Sweden, Denmark has 4 seasons. It is a ...
