... never heard of before. Aalborg is the 4th largest town in Denmark. Built on Limfjorden which was previously a fjord but has split into a couple of branches and is a river today. The activity of the town is centred around the river with fishing being an important production area. The area is known for its herrings, mussels and oysters. What a shame these are 3 types of Seaford which I don't like! Still it is also noted for ...

... free WiFi spot outside a cathedral where we caught up with our social lives.

Finding free WiFi spots involves looking for groups of teenagers all sitting around and playing with their phones. If you can find this kind of group you will hit the jackpot every time.

From Aalborg we headed south to our campsite for the evening in a small village called Hobro. The campsite was quite rustic and out in nature overlooking a fjord. Unfortunately by this ...

Onto Hobro which looked like a pretty scummy town / city but was our gateway to Fyrkat, the Viking Fortress and reconstructed farmstead. The fortress is from 980 in Harald Bluetooth's time (Google will tell you all about it if you're interested!) We had great fun wandering around the two sites, re-enacting the Viking ways! Back on the road to Auning for a two ...

    ... a few:)

The night before we made a "Tyskland/Germany" sign. We arrived on the road leading outside of Aalborg exactly at 10:00. Put up our thumbs and voila! 5 minutes later we got a ride and all the way to Germany, about 80 km south of Hamburg. We were picked up by 2 teachers going to visit some friends there - Mette and Jesper. The car was a very small Toyota. Mostly they were talking with Kaare in Danish, every once in a while I also got ...
