Free wifi. Central location. Walking distance to Old City and main street in Kiev. Beds have spring mattresses and are quite soft. Beware if you prefer firm mattresses. Breakfast buffet is big and there is a nice selection. Gym and sauna are better than many hotels.

Nice hotel with many embassy people. Beware of scams right outside the hotel by thieves who want your money and passport.

We have a four person shower but we mutually decided not to use it to it's full potential. Lunch was served in the "canteen" at exactly 13:15. I have no idea why they call it the 'canteen' and not the ambient dining hall of raised pinkies. ...

... my head. The caves were worth the search. Even though it was crowded in there they felt really peaceful. I felt the urge to open one of the chamber doors and hide away for a while. Of course I didn't do this though, I just kept in my place in the long line of people walking (and praying) through the caves. Once we had been through the caves we headed home.

Some breakfast down at the food court and a book at the book shop, a look at the old bazaar but prices are all pretty stiff and I’ve been in Turkey enough times not to need any more souvenirs from here.

Finally the board shows that my flight says “Wait in lounge” which essentially means the same ...

... climb out; in fact the police saw them before the girl could get over and one of the blokes had caught his jacket on one of the spikes..

What was really amazing is that the police told the young blokes off, then told them to climb back over again. I blinked and somehow they'd jumped back over. They must be olympic gymnasts or something. It was amazing.
