The second stop into the Black Forest region was the Maulbronn Abbey, a Monastery built sometime in the 1300s. The pamphlet we got mentioned it was over 800 years old, but I'm getting confused as some components were a little younger than that, like 600 years old. In any case, it was incredible. Our first stop on the way to the Black Forest region was Heidelberg, at the suggestion of our neighbor. What an adorable old German city.
