Our long weekend ended in Heidelberg which is one of our favorite cities so far. After finding our hotel and parking about a half mile away, we stopped for lunch at Cafe Romantic. Steffie and I had trouble deciding what to do on Sunday, but when we saw that we had good weather and blue skies, we definitely weren't staying at home. So Steffie came up with the idea of going to the zoo in Heidelberg. I hadn't really though about going there because Steffie always said that it's so small and under renovation, but she wanted to take her nephew along so off we went!

... Baden, The hotel was perfectly located right in the pedestrian zone and we went for dinner at the Rathausglockel right next door. Dinner was the best we had in Germany so far. I had the perch with tagliatelle and Annissa had the sea bass. We also had a couple of German Pils too. After dinner, we went for a walk, and it was very rainy and I discovered my shoes leaked. My mum, a friend of her and I took a day tour to visit the Christmas markets in Heidelberg and to hopefully have nice weather for some pictures.
I remember that I visited Heidelberg some years ago in summer and that I did not like it as it was so full of tourists.
It is funny how sometimes when you think of a place you are full of joy and sometimes you just do not like a place at all.
I guess Heidelberg is a mixture.
... opened and so we ran back. Hiltrud and Oliver then cooked us an amazing tea, first proper home made food we've eaten in what seems like a lifetime- an inside BBQ because of the weather!
