      ... sip tickles my mouth but slides down smoothly leaving me feeling refreshed. As I slowly enjoy my beer, I look out the window and watch people stroll by.

      Hours later the bar is full and I'm polishing off my Petrus feeling warm from the inside out. Stepping back out into the wintery Belgian air I think, "now there's only 1999 bottles of beer on the wall."

      It seems fitting for my first full day in Belgium to have a glass of Stella; after all, I am living in the city where it comes from. Leuven is actually home to the headquarters of the world's largest brewing group, Anheuser-Busch InBev. The company also makes Corona, Budweiser, Leffe, Bud Light and many others holding 25 percent of the global beer market.

      ... master tells us that their market day is on Wednesdays. So we seem out of luck for sightseeing. Afie-the-shopper is disppointed, except that she found plastic punchos, which is the start of a stragegy in this weather.

      ... I assumed they spoke either French or German. All day I was confused! Anyway, I went to the bathroom at one point and on my way back to my seat I got lost. Stupid me, right!?       ... of the river. Finally, we arrive back at Stuttgart, jump on the S-Bahn to Plochingen and the train back to Wernau.
