... sip tickles my mouth but slides down smoothly leaving me feeling refreshed. As I slowly enjoy my beer, I look out the window and watch people stroll by.
Hours later the bar is full and I'm polishing off my Petrus feeling warm from the inside out. Stepping back out into the wintery Belgian air I think, "now there's only 1999 bottles of beer on the wall."
It seems fitting for my first full day in Belgium to have a glass of Stella; after all, I am living in the city where it comes from. Leuven is actually home to the headquarters of the world's largest brewing group, Anheuser-Busch InBev. The company also makes Corona, Budweiser, Leffe, Bud Light and many others holding 25 percent of the global beer market.

I couldn't find the door leading from the corridor where the bathroom was to the door that led to the caffe seating area. Once there, we settle down to beverages, coffee and mineral water and wait for the rest of our party to join us.
