The airport terminal is like a gleeming, brilliantly lit movie set. Dubai is home of the world's best hotel, the Barq el Arab, the only 5 star hotel anywhere. Brunch is $150, plus drinks, even alchohol! I managed to crash ...

... buildings,the next one even nicer than the other one, but there is only one problem......they are all empty and not finished!! Even the recession hit Dubaaii as well. You could not even get close to them as the streets surrounding the buildings were all still in sand and rubbish. So on t.v. it looks like waauuw...but in real it´s not. ... programme également un petit en barque dans Madhinat Jumeirah, un complexe hôtelier et marchant plutôt réussi, notamment par son cadre calme et agréable qui tranche avec le bruit et l'agitation de la ville. Au retour nous en profitons pour faire un tour de la ville afin d'en voir les curiosités, à savoir le Burj Al Arab, seul hôtel sept étoiles au monde et Ski Dubai, la plus longue piste de ski indoor du monde.

... our way back to the creek, we jumped onto the water taxi's that put-put away across the creek all day long. We reached the other side, Bur Dubai. After looking around more markets and a few Mosques, we reached the Al Fahidi Fort, which is now the Museum of Dubai. Has a pretty good hands on approach to the history of Dubai, especially the creek, and set in a unique building. Recommended for anyone who is bored of just sun, sand and shopping.
