... but it got a conversation started. They spoke excellent English and we talked about things from his house being repossessed, to my adventure, to her climbing (which was of note because she was in a wheelchair).
After 40 minutes or so I said goodbye and headed off as I needed to get back and make my bed before my room-mate went to bed if poss to avoid disturbing her. It was now about 830 and I decided I could take a few more photos on the ...
... to reach the train in around 8 days as the weather forecasts the first snow (other than showers) around the 18th (almost universally at this longitude it seems). On the way I will make a day trip to Luxembourg although not spend the night there as it is apparently very expensive - what else do you expect from the only Grand Duchy in the world?
Everything looked solid, until as I was arranging my stuff it started raining, this was not unexpected as today was ...
During our stay in Spa we had the most scary, horrible, unpleasant experience ever in a restaurant.
The restaurant to avoid is "Le Bouchon Gourmand", the owner does not hesitate to insult customers, lock them into the restaurant if there is a dispute on the bill, and claim more money than is due.

... and it was despensing mineral water! haha something I have never seen before.
So the lady said that I should have electricity by tomorrow. I am going to pay 25 euros a month, flat rate. At the end of my usage they will calculate how much I actually used and ask me for more money or give me some back, depending on if I payed too much or too little each month. I am going to try to use my 'lectric sparingly so I can get money back at the ...

Gaz's motor was struggling, and threatening to overheat, so we stopped to let it cool down.
With the vehicles all decorated with stickers, we attracted a bit of attention, and a Belgian couple took our ...

Well gonna get ready for the church outing. Hope everything is going well for everyone back in the states!
... amazement we saw that the sign on the black iron fence above the enclosure confirmed it was indeed a ‘Tasmaanse Buidelwolf’.
Perhaps in a bid to prevent the Dutch caging us up like our presumed-extinct local friend, we decided to flee from the Netherlands entirely, though just for the rest of the day. After hiring bicycles we had barely pedalled our way out of the western edge of the town before ...
... the hope that we will meet Peter and Ann again some day. On the way to Belgium we take time out to walk the grounds of the Palais Het Loo at Apeldoorn. Topiary gardens don't you know? and some magnificent, almost vertical lawns!! Friday 8th July Wake, wash, eat and prepare diary for the remote possibility that we will be able to upload it today; then off again to eat some kilometers on the way to Angers, and Caroline and Bruno.
Leige, Belgium janterry... close to Dutch) and French, which are Belgium's three official languages. You'll even find German spoken in a small part of the country. Brussels is not, however, a gay city on par with Amsterdam or London, which is why, perhaps, the scene's much friendlier here than in either of those cities or Paris. You won't see or sense much of a gay presence on the street - Belgium is a tolerant but basically conservative, family ...
