... As the sea was calm and we left on time I don’t know how the booking agent could have under estimated the time by forty minutes. Lucky for Kat and I, we could listen to Yanni and Chris de Burgh on the PA system for the entire trip. I was praying the boat would sink and put me out of my misery.

We arrived at Nuweiba Port and after the chaos of 100+ tourists all trying to exit the boat at the same time got in the queue for our visa. We had our money ready for a 30 day ...

... probably rushed ahead to forewarn the Bedouins to stick the kettle on!!!

We had the opportunity to wander around this camp. I noticed that each tent had a number. Not too sure why tents need to be individually identified unless it was for the postman to ensure mail doesn’t go astray!!!

So, this was our experience of Jordan. We would certainly consider returning to this country as it has so much to offer. We will now be aboard the MSC Lirica for 4 days ...

... movies...so he knows what ******* means...we all (including the driver) had a good laugh. The price for the 2 hour trip was 35 dinar per cab, so about 12 a person. Not too bad!

Once in Aqaba we all realized we had barely eaten all day and were starving. We went to Jafra restaurant and had a delicious Jordanian meal with fantastic service. I discovered my new favorite drink --lemon wa na-a---it is lemon ...

... The bus dropped us at the Crown Plaza Resort Hotel near the entrance to Petra. Mary and I walked with our group and guide into Petra down the slope toward the Treasury, the most famous of Petra's monuments. Because of loose gravel and uneven stones, walking was somewhat difficult. The distance to the Treasury is maybe two miles. Instead of walking, horse carts and horses are available. ...
