      ... Hansen etc.) colorful restaurants and bars. The only downside was that due to ''extreme'' snow conditions we couldn't take the Mont Blanc train nor could we see the Montenvers Mer de Glace.
      To sum up, I must say I wouldn't recommend Chamonix as a must-see but it's a nice town to spend a few days but definitely not the best place for skiing. ...

      ... two of those this time. One waiter (son of the owners, I suspect), has excellent English and is keen to chat with us, says there has been many Australians in this winter. Discusses cricket with the men folk. He was kind enough to organise our taxi pickup for tomorrow morning for us. Last job sorted. Home from dinner at 9:30, time to blog/ read/ catch up on face book before getting to bed. Alarm set for 6:00 tomorrow. Au Revoir, ...

      ... the outdoor bars were magic. The locals with their rugged up designer fashion dogs mostly silky terriers and the traditional horse and cart made this town something you would only ever expect in either a Disney or romantic film.

      brings me delicious hot chocolate which revives me. We continue up the stairs
      to the viewing platform and views are unbelievable and the sight will live with
