Our hotel as a glass wine tower in the foyer. When a bottle of wine is required a young lady or man straps on a harness and dances up the glass tower to get the wine, quite nice to watch.

    The Best So Far

We left Perth 2 months ago. We have stayed in many hotels and B&B. The Radisson Blu in Zurich Airport certainly rates at the best that we have stayed in so far.

It has a large bedroom with a king size bed, desk, 2 comfortable chairs, large TV, mini bar which we could stock with our own food, tea and coffee making facilities, a large bathroom with a heated towel rack.

The breakfast was excellent and they had a well stocked bar. The restaurant had a good menu but it was expensive, but apparently all restaurants in Switzerland are.

Beautiful city - Zurich - but VERY expensive. All of the Warhawks & guests have arrived. We are staying at the Radisson BLU airport which is attached to the airport, train station, trams and buses. The Swiss have created a very convenient hub with shopping and restaurants all attached and convenient to us. …

    Fleeting visit...

Really, I'm just going to write about the flight here, and there isn't too much to say about that either. Tiring and fairly uneventful. Praggers and Geoff will be pleased to know that I made it past Heathrow, though Nic managed to have a small issue with her boarding pass (I can write this because it wasn't me...), and Zurich was annoyingly stressful because the changeover was too short. I got stuck behind a woman in the toilets who had irritated me on the plane, but ...

... 8217;t really float my boat. The Beethoven was pleasant but I really think a blacked out, boring as bat **** hall is not the place for classical music. It is such emotional music and when it’s reduced to someone playing it in such a place there is no justice done for it. I remember the only time I have ever been really touched by music, of any genre, was when I was walking through Melbourne one very cold and windy afternoon. As I passed Burke Street, ...
