A travel blog entry by jade.kingdon on Jul 02, 2015

Koh Samui!!!..., firstly you can't really say we arrived at the airport.. More like pulling up at a beach shack on a bit of empty road is more fitting! Amelia slept through the flight uneventfully it was only at the end when she started stashing the sick bags into her hand luggage that I thought this is going to be an interesting taxi to the hostel! Thankfully all was okay and no sick bags were needed otherwise I'm sure I would have needed one too! After ...

After a lazy start we brunched at midday in the restaurant by the pool which is offering 20% off everything as it's now low season. That's when another mini bus, much much older and raggity mini bus rocks up. It's jam packed with locals and a Pakistani family. We squash ourselves in and the complaining began right about now, especially from diva (Diva=Will). The bus carries on to stop twice through our trip and picked up 3 more people, ...

Island Scootin’: Thanks Jim, Ray, and Mary!

... for carting passengers around.

Yesterday we decided to join the ranks and rent a scooter for the day so we could explore a little further afield. Armed with water, sunscreen, and a map provided by the hotel which didn’t quite show the island in its entirety, we headed out and turned left. There’s pretty much one main drag around the island so it was easy to get to the town by the ferry dock where we first arrived, so we did a little shopping then ...
