... that starts with the word “jungle” (jungle gym, jungle fever, jungle juice, etc.). But she was bound and determined to go this way so of course I caved. Well guess what? Have you ever heard of the Bataan Death March? Well this would have rivaled that I think. It was about 1000 miles long, up the highest mountain in Railway, through thick jungle and all during about a 110 degree day. Took us about 3 hours to get back and needless to say, after threats of divorce flew rampant ...

I am so so looking forward to seeing everyone I have missed so much!! :o)))

And when we get to London and fly above the London eye and Tower Bridge my heart feels up with happy emotion and happy tears fill my eyes. It feels good to be home again too... and I have experienced so much more during this trip than I expected to. I feel really content....

... for people at the festival. It was deafening at times. We
went to the ferry office to get our tickets for Ko Phangan the next day. After
a failed attempt to find a road that went back through the mountains to Lamai
beach, we were riding through some low key hut dwellings amongst the palm
forests inland. This was an area of very simple living, but it intrigued us
none the less. We came upon a little guy selling ice cream out of his own bin,

... as neither of us had eaten, but as the bay
came into view, we knew it was all worth it.

It's kind of a whole resort on a small
strip of tropical island. Around 4 or 5 hotel complexes,
restaurants, swimming pools and a glorious open bay. We had
something to eat, then spent some time on the beach and in the ocean,
then went to the sunbeds by our hotel's pool.

Ma prima di arrivarci, visto che abbiamo dovuto aggregarci ad una specie di tour organizzato (ovvero una barchetta di legno con 8 persone a bordo), siamo stati in altri posti altrettanto favolosi: Monkey beach, una spiaggia bianca piena di scimmiette (e relativi turisti con banane), Bamboo island, un piccolissima (e bellissima) isoletta con un altrettanto piccolo villaggio di capanne, e poi finalmente Ko Phi Phi Leh.
