The day has finally come!!!! We've been so excited for long. Neither of us got much sleep last night. We woke up at 3 am and Maggie drove us to the airport. Jason thought he would stay up all night and he cracked open a bottle of wine that I made him drink himself. We had a lot of fun packing for our trip too. We were both so giddy and excited to go. This is it.... departure day! Our bags are packed and anything left behind we will live without or pick up somewhere along the way. Everyone is making their way to Vancouver; Gayl from Ottawa and Carrie, Vickie, Naomi & Bobbi from Toronto. ... Sheraton Wall centre in Downtown Van City (yes, I am so cool I have adopted the locals speak!) & get up at 4am for the famous ‘Cascades’ train from Vancouver to Seattle…research showed that this part of the coast is stunning, the train hugs the coast line & the sunrise is divine…we wouldn’t know as the weather is *****, it ****** down the entire time & we cannot see a thing..wow! LOL
Love to you all!
... of North-West America seeing the best of the wildlife. The scenery has been epic, yet much of the encounters have been extraordinarily intimate, seeing the bears and the whales getting on with life at close quarters. It will live long in the memory along with the 10,000 images!
