... with Claire at Olive Garden; took Agnes and Cliff for a ride to Captiva Island so they could see the Bubble Room Restaurant; swam in the Gulf and beautiful swimming pools at our RV Park and at their Condo, had a great dinner of barbecued ribs prepared by Claire on our last night here; and were lucky enough to see dolphins playing in the Gulf and a most amazing sunset over the water! Whew! packed a lot into a week, didn't we?
... fix it later when his shift was done, but he never showed up.
The staff must have went through a change, because only 2 people that I got to see were people that I've seen before ( a polite young woman and the nightshift lady).
The whole place went through a change, and not for the better, please try to avoid this place if you ever happen to come to Cape Coral, Fl.
We got up early today and drove to Sanibel Island. For those who haven't been there, Sanibel & Captiva Islands on the Gulf of Mexico have some of the nicest beaches around, and Sanibel is known for fantastic shelling.
While walking over the inland waterway to get to Bowman Beach, the girls spotted a manatee and watched it amble under the foot bridge we were on and swim off into the distance. The tide was ...
We ate breakfast at the hotel restaurant, Courtney's, then checked out. We drove to one of the public beach access areas and headed out to do some more shelling. We found more treasures! The girls went out at first in just shorts, but that didn't last long. There were signs on the roads to watch out for gopher tortoises...but we didn't see any!
We then drove on to Lake City to stay at the same Comfor Suites...still very nice!
... I had a half-dozen oysters on the half shell and a grilled grouper sandwich. It was tasty.
Katie and I went back out to the beach at low tide and found some real treasures. Sarah was still not feeling great, so she watched cartoon network.
We had planned on going back out early for the next low tide (it was at 5:30a.m.), but it was storming. Which was actually a great thing because it meant the shelling even at high tide was going to be good.

... We beat Dad, Mom, and Lu. Then Dad and I went out together and raced Gram Judi. It was going fine until the wind changed and Dad and I flipped over. At first I was scared, then I realized that the water was warm and not too deep. We flipped the boat over and kept on sailing. Now we are back in New York for a day or so, before we head to Nashville for grandmother visit number 2 and homemade chocolate cake!!!
Bonita Springs, Florida, United States zolab... Although we only managed to get out twice, my scorecard says that I somehow managed to fit another 18 holes in somewhere. Enough of that, on to the shopping. It is absolutely insane, this is where all of the surplus stock goes to expire (much like many of the shoppers). The outlet malls are never-ending and the sales almost make you feel guilty for taking advantage... almost. Everything is bigger here, the mile ...
Fort Myers, Florida, United States meganandkevin... Before civilization, Florida was gorgeous. Today, it´s full of horrible, concrete-infested cities. Palm tree forests have been replaced by malls and strips of dull chain stores. The scent of salty humidity clinging to sharp, thirsty plants has been replaced by car exhaust. The beauty and uniqueness of nature and humanity doesn´t remain in me for long when I´m surrounded by grey steel upon grey steel. 3. MEAN PEOPLE - When biking the trails of my favorite St ...
St. Petersburg, Florida, United States modernoddyseus... the pretty girls, Dora - tall, blonde, and a nice smile, was talking to us. Johnny took advantage of the opened door and shot inside with the excuse of "petting their pet chinchilla." Amy layed on the bed, with short brown hair and a funny, but often x-rated, sense of humor. We introduced ourselves. "Johnny and Johnny," we said. Fifteen minutes later, we were laughing it up with our new friends, but the clock showed 10:34 pm. 86 minutes ...
